Nglambor Beach
Nglambor Beach is one of the many beaches in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta. But among other beaches, Nglambor Beach is quite unique because the beach is perfect for snorkeling and swimming – something that is not easy for other beaches in the south of Jogja because of the big waves.
The uniqueness of Nglambor Beach is caused by the two coral mountains in front of the shoreline, which break the waves so that big waves don’t reach the Nglambor Beach area! This is what makes Nglambor Beach suitable for snorkeling, because the water is relatively calm and you can say it is like a separate pool.
The trip to Nglambor Beach from the city of Jogja is quite time consuming because of the long distance. You can join a private snorkeling tour package at Nglambor Beach if you want to come here more easily.
